Home Environment
Over our life-time our home undergoes a thousand tiny tweaks and adjustments so that it can continue to meet our needs. For example we find it harder to get out of the chair so we raise it just a little, or stretching up becomes difficult so we put things we need on the lower shelves. Most of the time we don’t even think about this. The need for change and the solution seems obvious.
Sometimes the need to make adjustments is more subtle. Sensory, cognitive and perceptual changes occurring as a consequence of ageing or dementia mean that we may need to make additional adjustments.
